1. I'm From The Country

Album cover of I'm From The Country featuring songs by Tracy Byrd and the song I'm From The Country

I'm From The Country was written by Marty Brown and Stan Webb and can be found on his album of the same name, released in 1998.

The song was released as a single in 1998, it reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and hit #1 in Canada.

There was an official music video featuring Byrd and his band performing in a field, surrounded by horses, cows, and other farm animals. The video showcases the rural lifestyle that the song celebrates.

This one has some lead in it with a drop D tuning but only three chords, which are D, G, and A. For rhythm in this one play mainly down strokes with a rock and roll vibe and blend in a few riffs.

2. Lifestyles Of The Not So Rich And Famous

Album cover of No Ordinary Man featuring songs by Tracy Byrd and the song Lifestyles Of The Not So Rich And Famous

Lifestyles Of The Not So Rich And Famous was one of four singles from his 1994 album No Ordinary Man.

The song was written by Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman and managed to hit #4 on both the US and Canadian country charts.

There was an official video put out to promote this number.

My version of this song is slightly more bluesy than the original country recording by Tracy Byrd.

This song I'm playing in D with drop D tuning and in a bluesy vibe, which is different from the original played in E and a faster country vibe. The chords here are D, G and an A with a down up down up rhythm pattern. No lead but a few riffs throughout.

3. Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo

Album cover of Ten Rounds featuring songs by Tracy Byrd and the song Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo

Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo hails from his album "Ten Rounds", with this song being the lead single. It peaked at #1 on the US Country Charts, and his 2nd #1 hit since 1993. The song crossed over on the Billboard Hot 100 at #26.

The song was written by Casey Beathard and Michael Heeney and found on the album "Ten Rounds".

The official music video features Byrd and his band performing in a bar, with shots of tequila being served and people dancing.

Garth Brooks had also recorded the song but in a phone conversation, Byrd assured him the song was going to do well as a single for him (Byrd), so Garth let him have the single release and held off. To my knowledge Garth Brooks never did release his version as a single. A true gentleman right there.

I play this one with drop D tuning and with a root up down up root up down up and repeat rhythm pattern. There is some lead work here with the chords D, G, A and a Bm.

4. The Keeper Of The Stars

Album cover of No Ordinary Man featuring songs by Tracy Byrd and the song The Keeper Of The Stars

The Keeper Of The Stars is from the Tracy Byrd "No Ordinary Man" album from 1994 but was not written by Tracy Byrd but instead was written by Dickey Lee, Karen Staley, and Danny Mayo

The track was released as a single in 1995 and it reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. It also won an ACM Award for Song Of The Year a year after its release.

The official music video features Byrd singing the song in a beautiful outdoor setting, with images of stars, planets, and galaxies superimposed on the screen.

The album version is a bit higher than the single version as Byrd did a second recording a bit lower as he felt more comfortable in that key vocally. A third recording was done for the 2001 album "Ten Rounds".

The chords here are C, Gsus, G, Am, Am/G, F, Dm, E and an Em with a capo 1st fret in standard tuning. For rhythm play a root up down up and repeat rhythm pattern but no lead required.
