A Girl I Used To Know became a #3 hit on the US country charts for George Jones in 1962 and was recorded a second time with his wife Tammy Wynette. Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton also did a duet version but changes the titles of the song. It can be found on the album George Jones Sings More New Favourites.
A Good Year For The Roses was a #2 hit for George Jones back in 1970.

A Picture Of Me Without You hails from the album of the same name and was released in 1972. The two writers wrote this song specifically for George.
He scored a #5 hit with his release. Lorrie Morgan also covered the song in 1993.

Choices was one of two singles from the 1999 album Cold Hard Truth. George managed to reach #30 on the US and Canadian country charts with this number. Of course the CMA wanted George to perform only a part of the song at their awards show and Jones declined their offer.
Alan Jackson was performing Pop A Top that night and then launched into this song in protest against the CMA, and then stormed off the stage to a standing ovation.
He Stopped Loving Her Today was from the 1980s album I Am What I Am and almost never made it. Jones hated the song as it was too morbid and sad. This during the time he had just divorced from Tammy Wynette and was in prety rough shape.
Billy Sherrill and George argued about the song unitl he finally recorded it by said no son of a bitch will buy it. He was worng of course and in the summer of 1980 it hit #1. Jones later said a 40 year career was saved by a 3 min song.
I Dont Need Your Rockin Chair hails from the 1992 album from George Jones called Walls Can Fall. This one made to #34 on the US country charts.

I'm A One Woman Man is of course a Johnny Horton song which Horton recorded and released back in 1956 and scored a #7 hit. Jones released a version in 1960 but it was his 1988 version which hit #5 on the country charts in Canada and the US.

Me And Jesus is a song written by Tom T Hall and recorded by George Jones for his album Hallelujah Weekend released in the spring on 1990.

Once You've Had The Best was a #3 hit for George Jones from his 1973 album The Grand Tour. Johnny Paycheck wrote this song and he was the bass player in George's band in the 60s. The two remained good friends and have even recorded together.
She Loved A Lot In Her Time was a single released in 1992. Unfortunately Jones stopped producing hit songs in the late 1980s but still managed to get onto the country charts right up until 2002. This song peaked at #55 in the US.

She Thinks I Still Care was a single in 1962 and appeared on the 1967 album release called Hits By George. Jones hated the song at first and refused to record it but took a chance on it and it became his signature song as a country singer.
Elvis Presley, Anne Murray and Merle Haggard are just a few artists who have recorded the song.

Tennessee Whiskey hit #1 in Canada and #2 in the US country market back in 1983. David Allan Coe first recorded this one in 1977 but never had a successful version reaching #77.

The Grand Tour was a #1 hit when it saturated the airwaves back in 1974. It's one of the most famous divorce songs ever written.

The Race Is On was first released as a single by George Jones back in 1964 where it became a #3 hit on the US country chart. It can be found on the album I Get Lonely On A Hurry. He recorded the song again with Travis Tritt as a duet in 1994.
Sawyer Brown also released a version of the song and had a #5 hit in 1989.

Walk Through This World With Me was a #1 hit for George Jones back in 1967. George had 57 songs on the charts by this time in his career and this was hit 4th chart topper.

White Lightning was written by a close friend of George Jones by the name of The Big Bopper, who died in that play crash with Buddy Holly in 1959. This song was a #1 hit and can be found on the album of the same name.
