A Better Man was the first single from Clint's debut album Killin' Time from 1989.
This was a #1 hit for Clint and put him in the company of Freddie Fender who was another artist whose first single went straight to #1. There is a great video for this one and was also Clint's first music video.

A Good Run Of Bad Luck from Clint Black was released in 1994 as the lead single from his album "No Time to Kill". The song was written by Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas.
The song is an up-tempo country-rock track that tells the story of a man who is experiencing a string of good luck after a long period of bad luck.
The lyrics describe the character's newfound confidence and sense of freedom as he takes chances and enjoys the ride. The chorus proclaims, "I've had a good run of bad luck; I've got a good chance to mess it up".
The song was a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the US. It also charted in Canada, reaching number six on the RPM Country Tracks chart. The song earned Black a nomination for the Best Country Vocal Performance, Male at the 1995 Grammy Awards.

Nobody's Home was one of five singles from Clint's debut album Killin Time and was his 3rd #1 from that album in both the US and Canada. This song had no music video produced.

It must give Clint great satisfaction when one female music reviewer gave him a big thumbs down on the song, and then it hits #1. I wonder if he sent her a personalized copy?
