A Better Man was the first single from Clint's debut album Killin' Time from 1989.
This was a #1 hit for Clint and put him in the company of Freddie Fender who was another artist whose first single went straight to #1. There is a great video for this one and was also Clint's first music video.

A Good Run Of Bad Luck from Clint Black was released in 1994 as the lead single from his album "No Time to Kill". The song was written by Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas.
The song is an up-tempo country-rock track that tells the story of a man who is experiencing a string of good luck after a long period of bad luck.

This was his 2nd single from the album and it, like A Better Man, also went to #1 on the US country charts. The guy in the music video dancing in front of Clint at the 2:50 mark is not George Strait as many people believe.

It must give Clint great satisfaction when one female music reviewer gave him a big thumbs down on the song, and then it hits #1. I wonder if he sent her a personalized copy?
